Alex Jaume - Owner/Head Guide
Alex was born in Homestead, FL and grew up on the water. He spent many weekends fishing and snorkeling in the Keys. He moved to Gainesville, GA in 1994 and has been fishing Lake Lanier ever since. He started fly fishing over 20 years ago and was first introduced to striped bass on the fly in 2012. Since then, striper have become his favorite fish to pursue on fly tackle. Alex averages 3-4 days a week on the water during the topwater striper season. Along with time on the water, Alex also has a network of close fishing and guiding friends that help pattern where and what the fish are doing. Alex guides out of a classic 1995 Hewes Redfisher 18ft flats boat with a reliable 2022 Suzuki 140. Huge casting decks fore and aft, along with a stable and dry ride, make this an excellent platform for this type of run and gun fishing. The recent addition of a Humminbird Helix 9 MSI+ fishfinder allows the use of side & down scan imaging to assist in finding striper. The only thing better than seeing a big school of striper blowing up is watching someone else see it for the first time! |
